
Tiger lotus comes in two Varietys - A green variety, and a red Variety. The green leaved variety has mainly green leaves with red 'speckles'. The red variety (which is much harder to get, and rare in NZ) has solid red leaves under the correct lighting.

Overall, this plant is a very beautiful plant, and is a must in any planted tank. the green variety is very easy to grow under adequate lighting, and the red variety being a big harder, is not usually recommended for beginners (because of its rarity) and is often hard to get hold of.
